YIPPEE!!! We have made it during our first week of school together. Your children are troopers as it was very warm and a bit hard to concentrate at times.
At the end of every week--usually Friday evenings or Saturday mornings, I will update the homework schedule for the upcoming week as well as the classroom newsletter letting you know what we have learned that previous week.
If there are any important things that I need to communicate right away, I will send e-mails or post on the blog home page and you will get an e-mail reminder to check it out.
I also will be sending home a special homework folder next week which you will be able to see a hard copy of what homework is due as well as upcoming events. You will also be able to jot down any notes to me as well as I will check them each morning.

It was so GREAT to see you all at our Ice Cream Social Thursday. The night went by so quickly for me as I tried to soak up all I could about your child. I am so excited to get started Monday. You will get a lot of classroom information during parent night, Wednesday, Sept. 4 from 7:00-8:30pm. I will share my personal faith journey which brought me to Holland Christian as well as 3rd grade curriculum and the day to day logistics that help our classroom run. I did want to post a few things however, that you might want to know for the first day of school:
#1. I will provide a snack the first day but the days following your child can bring a snack for the
morning as well as the afternoon. We will most likely be having a "working" snack to enjoy
during independent work time so it should be non-messy and easy to eat.
#2. Classroom Specials Schedule:
Monday 1:35- 2:05 Spanish
Tuesday 12:35-1:25 Art
1:35-2:05 Gym (clean gym shoes required)
Thursday 11:25-11:55 Gym
12:35-1:05 Spanish
1:25-2:15 Music
Friday 8:15-9:15 Chapel
** Library check out is TBD

Welcome
Hello to All:
I am Mrs. Wyma one of the new 3rd grade teachers at Pine Ridge this year. I am so excited to meet all of you at the Welcome Back To School/Ice Cream Social on Thursday, August 22 at 6:30pm. If you can not make it that night and wish to meet me before the start of the year, please e-mail me at ewyma@hollandchristian.org and I would be more than willing to set up an alternative time for you and your child.
