REMINDER:
Wednesday, January 29th is PJ Day at school!!!

That should help make getting up a little easier tomorrow!!!

Also, Friday, January 31 is 4th Grade Market day. If you would like, you can send a few dollars with your child to school as we will take some time to go through and do a little shopping.

I decided to not update the classroom newsletter due to the fact that much of our week last week was finishing some assessments needed for the final grades on report cards.

Speaking of report cards, I hope that you have all found your way through the system and were able to see your child's report card.  If not, here is the information again on how to do that.

On Friday, January 17, Holland Christian sent out an email with information about how to connect to the electronic report card that will be available January 24.  The email contained directions for creating a PowerSchool account and connecting your child to your account.  According to our records you still need to create a PowerSchool account and/or connect your PowerSchool account to your child.  If you have done this already please ignore the rest of this email.  If you did not receive this email please check your Spam folder for an email sent on January 17, around noon.

2.  Student information:
(if you need this, please e-mail Dan Vos and he can get that for you)

If you have any questions contact Dan Vos at dvos@hollandchristian.org.

We were also scheduled to lead chapel on Friday morning and I am not sure if or when we will make that up.  I will let you know after I figure that out.  I know the kids will be disappointed so I will try to reschedule for some other time.

I am including some pictures of learning in our classroom.  One thing I have realized is that I also never downloaded our last students sharing their all about me bag so I am also including those as well.

Ella, Kayla, and Ryan sharing their "All About Me Bag"

These are pictures of us working through our nonfiction reading unit.  The kids love it as it is highly motivational when they get to have so much choice in the topics they are reading about.

This reading unit will equip your child with how to read nonfiction with POWER.  They are learning multiple strategies for how to read nonfiction which is so important as this is the type of reading that they will need to be successful with throughout their lives.

Good Evening Parents:

I wanted you to all know that our class is doing chapel Friday the 24th from 10:20-10:45.  A few kids have speaking parts but everyone will be seen on an imovie saying a little something.

We would love to have you join us.
